On 3 and 4 October 2026 , the Priamar Fortress in Savona will host the fifth edition of the "Bonsai in Fortezza" exhibition, curated by the Ponente Bonsai Savona Cultural Association and co-owned by the Municipality of Savona.
Admission is free and the opening hours to the public are as follows:
- Saturday 3 October, from 10:30 am to 6 pm ;
- Sunday 4 October, from 9am to 5pm .
The exhibition will be set up in the Sala della Sibilla.
The exhibition will consist of 45 exhibition spaces (Tokonoma) featuring miniature trees (Bonsai), stones (Suiseki), and herbaceous compositions (Kusamono), along with related accessories.
The ancient art of Bonsai comes from Japanese tradition and consists of creating miniature trees, grown in pots, according to very specific canons, with the aim of reproducing nature on a small scale.
In addition to guided tours of the exhibition, thematic conferences and martial arts demonstrations are planned, offering a glimpse into Japanese culture, so sensitive to the allure of nature in all its manifestations.
