The Bandiera Lilla Municipalities stand out for their concrete commitment to offering an inclusive and barrier-free travel experience.

The Municipality of Savona received this important recognition in May 2025, following a process of territorial analysis and study aimed at eliminating architectural barriers.

Speaking of accessibility, the Liguria Region recently released the "Accessible Sea" and "Accessible Hotels" Guides.

Accessible Sea Guide, updated with the 2025 mapping, confirms itself as a useful guide to identifying equipped public beaches and establishments where-thanks to specific services-accessibility to the shoreline and the sea is guaranteed.

The publication includes beach resorts that allow usability/accessibility to people with reduced mobility (motor and/or sensory disabilities or in any case that limit their autonomy), through services such as the existence of reserved parking nearby and compliant access ramps or other barrier-breaking systems, the presence of an accessible refreshment point, usable toilets, of accessible changing rooms and showers, of specific cots and aids for access to the sea.

Accessible Hotels Guide is a new tool, the result of an accurate census, conducted on a first selected group of accommodation facilities. For each establishment, the services offered are indicated, with the aim of providing a practical and transparent tool, useful for those travelling and seeking reliable information.
