Artist Workshops in the Art Gallery
November 14, 2026 / 3 - 6 pm / Pinacoteca Civica, Savona
Following last year's Racconti al Museo (Stories at the Museum), FAI Giovani Savona and the Pinacoteca Civica di Savona are collaborating again with a new format: hands-on workshops to experience art firsthand.
Leading them will be Valentina Biletta , an illustrator, author, and art educator who has established her main office in Celle Ligure (Savona). Specializing in children's publishing, traditional printmaking techniques (such as woodcut and linocut), and creative reuse of materials, the artist boasts a deep and deeply rooted connection with the Savona area.
On the occasion of the upcoming opening of a new room dedicated to the works of Renata Cuneo at the Pinacoteca Civica in Savona, which also houses a precious collection of works on paper by the Savona-born sculptor, we will have the unique opportunity to reproduce and interpret the artist's magnificent drawings.
⏰ Saturday 14 November at 3:00 pm (duration approximately 3 hours) with an introduction by the FAI Savona Delegation
📍Hospitality: Art Gallery
📩 Event open to all €35 - FAI members €30

Program
What we will do:
Drypoint is the most direct and simple of all intaglio techniques: the method simply involves tracing marks on the plate with a special tip; each groove, into which ink is pressed, transfers its mark to the paper. In our workshop, together with Valentina Biletta, we will experiment with this ancient engraving technique in a fascinating artistic process that will allow us to create fine art prints starting from a hand-scratched drawing.
