On the world stage, sometimes particular, uncomfortable characters appear who, with the bursting force of an ideal of truth, do not hesitate to risk their lives and shake the consciences of the most sensitive and ready.
By doing so, they hinder those who have an interest in maintaining power and a state of affairs; they are therefore considered dangerous, enemies of order and the established system, and thus accused of heresy, magic, and treason. For this reason, they have often been opposed, accused, and persecuted by the church and the state, and even by the people themselves. During their lives, they are condemned, imprisoned, and martyred in the name of a justice that is no justice, but merely self-interest and a thirst for power.
Their stories and those of their trials highlight the courage to speak the truth, even when it's difficult. Brilliant, creative, and far-sighted personalities who contributed to the progress of humanity and left a seed destined, sooner or later, to germinate in those who approach their ideas, their mindset, their ideals, with a free, sincere, and unprejudiced spirit. Unfortunately, posterity has not yet been able to recognize their just merit, their memory having been distorted, if not entirely erased.
The best way to do justice to these great deeds is therefore to give them the floor, because memory is history.
