The Poetics of Sign and Color
Contemporary art exhibition dedicated to graphics, watercolors, graphite and pastel drawings, collages, engravings
From October 24th to 31st, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The exhibition presents a selection of original and talented contemporary artists, accompanied by an exhibition within the exhibition dedicated to remembering some significant twentieth-century masters, not only from Liguria, but with an international vocation: just think of Ligustro (famous Italian engraver and artist, known as the “painter of the floating world” for his profound dedication to Japanese xylography), Eso Peluzzi (a member of the San Luca Academy, present at the Venice Biennale from 1926 to 1948, who also received honorary citizenship from the municipal authorities of Savona in 1971), and Renata Minuto , the only female artist present in the Vatican Gardens in Rome.
We continue by remembering those who participated in various Venice Biennales ( Aurelio Caminati, Oscar Saccorotti, Emanuele Rambaldi, Nani Tedeschi ), those who spoke of their roots in their poetic and true paintings such as Carlo Bossi and Luciano Limonta and, finally, we pay homage to Remo Abelardo Borzini , writer in 1950 of “Osterie genovesi ovvero i tabernacoli dell'onesto peccato”; an author cited many times by Fabrizio De Andrè, as well as a painter and poet of the latter.
This exhibition is further enriched by two collateral initiatives, also related to the culture of the region, with Ezio Marinoni presenting his book, which focuses on Turin and Spotorno. It's a landmark work, but its inspiration is the great English writer David Herbert Lawrence, who scandalized Europe with his novel Lady Chatterley's Lover.
Ceramics is certainly an emblem of our art/craftsmanship and culture and Federico Marzinot , for his part, will address the topic focusing on the role of women in this sector.
The event is organized by the “Renzo Aiolfi” Association with the Mu Vi Ca Association.
