Events in Savona this weekend from September 25h to 27th

A weekend full of cultural, musical and sporting events for the whole family!

Until September 26, CONNEXXION returns to Savona, the contemporary art festival curated by Livia Savorelli, now in its fourth edition and dedicated this year to the theme “Elegy of Fragility”. A journey through art, participation and digital culture involving different locations throughout the city.

Until September 30, at the Cellette of the Priamar Fortress, the exhibition "Cvbiqua in Ceramiqa", curated by Quiarte.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, the Pertini-Cuneo Museum will be free of charge, with the possibility of using the new audio guide dedicated to the seventh President of the Italian Republic, Sandro Pertini, and his connection with Savona.

Friday, September 25

3.00 pm – Piazza del Santuario – Urban Trekking
Curated by: Associazione Lino Berzoini (Magda Tassinari and Carla Bracco), urban trekking “From luxury dress to liturgical vestment: a refined upcycling of the past for the eighteenth-century fabrics of the Sanctuary of Savona”. Duration: approximately 2 hours.

3.30 pm – Civic Archaeological and City Museum – “Re-emergences: the medieval inscription of Priamar, the story of a recovery”
Curated by the SABAP team for Liguria, exhibition of the medieval inscription of extraordinary historical and artistic interest, discovered inside the ruins of the ancient district of San Domenico.

5:30 PM – MMCC Space, Piazza Chabrol – Written Words, Painted Words. Milena Milani’s Visual Poetry

Opening of the exhibition “Written Words, Painted Words: Milena Milani’s Visual Poetry”. The exhibition is open to visitors from Friday to Sunday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

From 8.15 pm – Priamar Fortress, Corso Mazzini parking area – Underground Priamar
Curated by the Gruppo Speleologico Savonese, a visit to the underground passages of the Priamar Fortress. Participants are required to wear sports shoes and bring a flashlight. Three time slots are available for all excursions: 8.15 pm – 8.45 pm – 9.15 pm.

Saturday, September 26

All day – Darsena – 46th Silver Medal Trophy of the President of the Italian Republic
International canoeing competition.

9.00 am – Lido dei Pini Beach Resort – Schiacciare il buio
Curated by Croce Bianca, charity beach volleyball tournament.

3.00 pm – Sandro Pertini Renata Cuneo Museum – Auguri Sandro
On the occasion of the 130th birthday of President Sandro Pertini, presentation of the new audio guide dedicated to Pertini and his connection with Savona, and the documentary exhibition “I DEPORTATI DEL TRASPORTO 81”, curated by ANED and open to visitors until October 18 during the Museum’s opening hours.

3.30 pm – Priamar Fortress – “Discover the Secrets of the Fortress” guided tour
Curated by the Civic Archaeological Museum, guided tour of the Priamar complex.

From 6.00 pm – Villa Cambiaso – CONNEXXION
PRESENTATION of the artwork Le Luci di Zinöa (the result of a participatory process involving the residents of Zinola), followed from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm by the CONNEXXION PARTY (invitation only).

9.00 pm – Church of San Domenico – Concert by the Instrumentalists of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden
Curated by Ensamble Nuove Musiche, with the support of ICIT (Italian-German Cultural Institute of Savona); in collaboration with the Accademia degli Sfaccendati of Ariccia, concert by the instrumentalists of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. Music by O. Respighi, G. Ligeti and J. Françaix.
