Events in Savona this weekend from August 28th to 30th

A weekend packed with cultural and musical events, as well as activities for the whole family!

Friday, August 28

All day – Streets of the historic centre – Desbarassu
Organised by Confcommercio and Ascom, a day dedicated to open-air shopping.

From 5:00 pm – Piazzale Eroe dei Due Mondi, Prolungamento – Savona Street Fest 2026
Three days dedicated to urban culture, featuring rap, breakdance, graffiti, basketball and skateboarding, with concerts, music contests, performances, live painting and street art. Completing the festivities is a street food and beverage area.

7:00 pm – Anfiteatro Giardini Isola della Gioventù, Fornaci district – La Disfida delle 2 dame
Organised by Circolo Damistico Savonese, a draughts match featuring live pieces.

From 8:15 pm – Fortezza del Priamàr, beneath the walls, at the end of the Corso Mazzini car park – Priamar Sotterraneo
Organised by Gruppo Speleologico Savonese, a guided tour of the underground passages of Priamar Fortress. A torch and suitable sports equipment are mandatory. Three tour slots:

Saturday, August 29

9:15 pm – Piazza Sisto IV – Parole Ubikate in mare
Organised by Associazione Parole Ubikate in mare, Massimo Recalcati presents his book Lo splendore e la polvere.

9:00 pm – Church of Sant'Andrea – Cuore Piano Trio
Organised by Ensemble Nuove Musiche, with the support of ICIT (Italian-German Cultural Institute of Savona) and the Austrian Cultural Forum in Milan, and in collaboration with mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Concert by Cuore Piano Trio featuring music by A. Casella, R. Schumann and A. Arutiunian.

Sunday, August 30

8:00 pm – Piazza del Popolo – Where Daffodils Have Their Fun
Organised by Nadir Music, a jazz concert by Maria Nives Riggio and The New York Trio dedicated to the album Where Daffodils Have Their Fun, recorded in New York and released in 2025 by Abeat Records. A journey through American jazz and some of its best-known standards, featuring a refined voice, New York-inspired atmospheres and the talent of a quartet of outstanding musicians.

9:00 pm – Giardino San Giacomo (Villetta Valloria district) – I pomeriggi della Mozart nei quartieri
Organised by Associazione Mozart Savona, a concert featuring Chiara Ragnini and Geddo on vocals and guitar, with Alfonso “Alfa” Amodio and Ferdinando Molteni providing narration.
